Abstract

An improved tracking algorithm in applications of augmented reality - adaptive tracking algorithms was introduced. The algorithm automatically adjusts parameters of detecting windows according to the movement status of planar pattern. Experimental results show that in the condition of rapid movement, smaller objects and larger deflection angles between camera and planar body, the algorithm could guarantee the tracking accuracy and robustness in a certain extent.
