Abstract

In image processing, noise are often regarded as non-ideal pixel changes. However, these changes may have a positive effect on the blurred images. By adding suitable amount of noise to the right positions, the image quality can be improved. This study makes an investigation of this phenomenon and conducts experiments on the corresponding datasets. Though noise may have a negative impact on the images with good quality, as to the images deteriorated by Gaussian blurriness distortion, noise can improve their subjective image quality.
