Abstract

Eucalliaxiopsis liui sp. nov. is described from a specimen taken from the South China Sea. The new species differs from other species of Eucalliaxiopsis in the combination of a telson with a transverse posterior margin, without a transverse row of spiniform setae, and a hook on the upper margin of the carpus of the cheliped. Eucalliaxiopsis liui is unique in having a biramous female pleopod 2, its endopod slender, with finger-like appendix interna, and a slender segmented exopod.
