Abstract

Ph ₃ PAuOTf was identified as a powerful catalyst for the Mukaiyama-Mannich reaction of fluorinated silyl enol ethers with α-amino sulfones. This provides ready access to β-amino α-fluorinated ketones in good to excellent yields.
