Abstract
A study was conducted to demonstrate a facile one-pot synthesis of a two-dimensional MoS2/Bi2S3 composite theranostic nanosystem for multi-modality tumor imaging and therapy. The redundant S atoms were coupled with the introduced Bi ions so that no toxic H 2 S gas was produced during the solvothermal reaction. The integration of Bi provided the MoS2/Bi2S3- PEG (MBP) nanosheets with a sensitive computed tomography (CT) imaging capacity and radiation enhancement effect during RT, while the MoS2 framework endowed the MBP nanosheets with an excellent photoacoustic (PA) imaging and photothermal transformation capacity.
