Abstract

A novel dual-emission fluorescence probe has been developed for specific and sensitive detection of hypochlorite (ClO). Upon addition of ClOsignificant changes in fluorescence emission intensity at two discrete wavelengths were observed. Meanwhile OONO led to only a single-channel fluorescence enhancement. This feature makes it a clear advantage in distinguishing ClORNS from other ROS.
