Abstract

The distributed storage system has evolved from one host infrastructure to distributed environment. It becomes more and more evident for the necessary of the separation of the computing and storage. This paper proposes a universal data accessing method for a distributed computing platform accessing data from different storage systems. The method can make data accessing more flexible since the computing no longer need to depend on some certain kind of storage system. Distributed applications can choose different storage systems without concerning about the relationship between the computing and storage so that simplified distributed computing based applications.
