Abstract

The data rate of optical camera communication (OCC) systems is limited by the low sampling rate of a camera. The screen-to-camera (SC) based OCC systems offer higher data rate by employing the optical multiple inputs multiple outputs scheme. However, the spatial intersymbol interference and image blurring is an issue especially when the link distance grows and the receiver is in mobility. In this paper, we propose a blur equalization method based on Wiener filtering which has the advantages of low complexity and easy modeling. The experimental results show that the BER performance of SC based OCC system can be improved using the proposed equalizer.
