Abstract

In this paper, a novel Bipolar/mosFET (BiFET) mixer topology is presented for the very low intermediate frequency (VLIF) wireless applications. This configuration merges both the high performance of the bipolar in radio frequency, together with the high linearity of the MOSFET. This fully integrated down -conversion mixer has conversion gain of 18.23dB, IIP2 of 30.8dBm and NF of 9.54dB when input frequency is 868MHz and IF is 270kHz.
