Abstract
3D shape acquisition has been an important technology in the field of computer vision in recent years. A simple and low cost method was proposed that could measure the objects with interreflection and high light. The capture system employed a projector to project line shifting shadow on the object, and a digital camera to record videos of the object and the distorted shadow. A novel spacetime edge finding method was introduced to get the shadow edge accurately and overcome the interreflection and high light. Using the spacetime information, the 3D information of the object could be got. A post-processing 3D filter was proposed to filter the bad data, make full use of the neighborhoods' geometric constrains and the view point constrain.
