Abstract
Objective To explore the effects of the flipped classroom in the course of Adult Nursing. Methods The contents of five diseases in Adult Nursing were chosen for the flipped classroom. The flipped classroom was developed in design, preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The flipped classroom was applied in 44 undergraduates and the effects were evaluated by comprehensive examinations, nursing specialty self-regulated learning scale, and the students' perceptions of online flipped classroom questionnaire. Results The average score of the comprehensive examinations was 7.07±0.84, the average online learning time was 2.27-17.71 hours, and the average score of flipped-class cases was 91.78±2.36.After the teaching, the students' total scores of self-regulated learning ability, the scores of the ability of study self-management dimension and study cooperation dimension were significantly higher than those before the teaching(P<0.05). The class satisfaction was 3.89±0.58. Conclusion It is feasible to use flipped classroom teaching. The flipped classroom helps improve the students' self-regulated learning ability, and is accepted by most students.
