Abstract
Methanol to propylene reaction (MTP) is one of the most effective ways to get propylene from non-oil resources. With the consideration of the coming post-oil era and our country's resources distribution characteristic with more coal, less oil and gas, using methanol as a platform molecular to acquire propylene is of great prosperous. This review presented some researchers' work to improve the performance of the MTP reaction from three different perspectives: effect of the catalysts' topology on the choice of active intermediates and the diffusion of products; acid properties like the acid types, amount, strength and location controlling the dual-cycle path; process conditions' effect on the reaction.
