民国学人专题数据库构建及其学术特征分析 - 学术共同体视角

[Purpose/significance] The period of the Republic of China is a rare active period of academic development in Chinese history. There are many literature databases of the Republic of China at present, but these databases are almost based on the subject. The thematic database of scholars in the Republic of China upgraded the database based on the field and the subject to people. It reflects the characteristics of academic exchanges in this way. [Method/process] This paper introduced the academic community in the Republic of China from the overall framework, functional design and implementation of the database. Then, it revealed the characteristics of academic community in the Republic of China from multiple dimensions, such as academic organization, co-authoring and citation behavior. Finally introduced time-series analysis methods to explore the characteristics of scholars’ scientific research behavior over time. [Result/conclusion] The result shows that the changes in the academic community during the Republic of China were affected by the external political atmosphere and internal organizational changes. Through the time-series analysis methods to analyze the co-authors and citation relationships of scholars, it’s been found that the scholars continued to increase their enthusiasm for academic research of the Republic of China. During the period of the Republic of China, the scholars tended to create academic works independently, the scholars’ cooperative behavior became more and more frequent in the later period.
