Abstract
Plant–pathogenic microbe interactions underlie plant diseases. During the past decade, the research field of plant–pathogenic microbe interactions progresses rapidly in dissecting mechanisms of plant cell-surface receptor triggered immunity, intracellular receptor triggered immunity, systemic acquired resistance, and pathogen effector-triggered susceptibility. The application in molecular design of crop resistance has also been exemplified.
