Abstract

Objective: To design, synthesize and biological evaluate a series of new derivatives of Matijin-Su (MTS). Methods: By using MTS as a lead compound, a series of MTS derivatives containing veratric acid were designed and synthesized and their structures were confirmed by NMR and ESI-MS. The anti-HBV activities of those target compounds were evaluated in in vitro cells. Results: Twenty new MTS derivatives containing veratric acid group were designed and synthesized and their anti-HBV activity evaluation were carried out. Compounds 23, 24 and 25 exhibited effective activities against the replication of HBV DNA with IC50 values of 6.17, 9.18 and 8.29 μmol•L-1 respectively. Conclusion: The MTS derivatives with veratric acid have the value of further research.
