华东师范大学公共管理学院成立于2006年9月，是在原华东师范大学法政学院、教育管理学院等单位基础上建立。学院秉承“智慧的创获，品性的陶熔，民族和社会的发展”的崇高大学理想，恪守“求实创造，为人师表”的校训精神，以“传承、开放、创新、卓越”为使命，锚定卓越航标，扎根中国大地，奋力建设中国特色、国际知名的公共管理学院。
华东师范大学公共管理学院目前拥有公共管理一级学科博士后流动站、一级学科博士点、公共管理一级学科硕士点，行政管理、公共政策、社会保障3个二级学科的博士点和硕士点，行政管理、人力资源管理、人力资源管理+应用心理学双学位项目3个本科专业。学院下设行政管理学系、公共政策系、劳动与社会保障系，拥有铸牢中华民族共同体意识研究基地、国家智能社会治理养老特色实验基地、中国老龄协会老龄科研基地、社会组织与社会治理创新研究中心、公共政策研究中心、教育人力资源研究所、当代中国政治发展与战略研究所等高水平研究平台。
历史沿革
2000年 获批教育经济与管理二级学科博士点，是全国最早的二级学科博士点之一
2001年 成为我国24所首批公共管理硕士（MPA）专业学位培养院校之一
2006年 公共管理学院正式成立
2010年 获批公共管理一级学科博士后流动站
2011年 获批公共管理一级学科博士点
2012年 入选“上海市一流学科”（B类）
2021年 行政管理专业入选国家一流本科建设点
2022年 增设人力资源管理-应用心理学本科双学位专业
2023年 获批公共政策二级学科博士点
